
Hondred jaar noorse schilderkunst
Exhibition of Norwegian Art at Kunstmuseum Den Haag in The Hauge in the winter of 1949/50. The exhibition consisted of 222 Norwegian paintings, drawings and prints from the early 1800s to the middle of the 1900s. Among the artists in the exhibition there were established names such as I.C. Dahl, Hans Gude, Harriet Backer, Erik Werenskiold, Nikolai Astrup and Edvard Munch, but also more contemporary artists such as Arne Ekeland and Reidar Aulie.
The exhibition was later shown in a slightly smaller version at The Palais des beaux-arts in Brussels.
Harriet Backer was represented with seven paintings.
