Exhibition with Norwegian women artists from the turns of two centuries, both the 1800s to 1900s, and the 1900s and the 2000s. Harriet Backer, Kitty Kielland and Asta Nørregaard were shown side by side with contemporary artists such as Marianne Heske, Hanneline Røgeberg, Line Wælgaard and Ida Lorentzen.

The exhibition was organized by the Norwegian department of Foregin Affairs and was shown both at Henie-Onstad kunstsenter in Bærum and at The National Museum of Women in the Arts in Washington D.C.


Harriet Backer was represented with seven paintings.
