Art exhibition at Allmänna konst- och industriutställningen (The General Art and Industrial Exposition) in Djurgården in Stockholm 1897. The Norwegian section was divided into two groups and included almost 250 works. Harriet Backer was in group b where she also was a member of the jury doing the selection of the artworks. In addition to Harriet Backer artists such as Halfdan Egedius, August Eiebakke, Kitty Kielland, Gerhard Munthe, Helga Reusch, Marie Tannæs and Erik Werenskiold were represented.
