
Norges kunst 1814-1914: Jubilæumsutstillingen 1914
The art exhibition at the 1914 Jubilee Exhibition in Frognerparken in Kristiania (Oslo) marking the 100th year anniversary of the Norwegian constitution. The exhibition had several sections, and the paintings were divided into a retrospective section with 470 works and a modern section with 495 works. In addition, there were a division for sculpture, one for graphic art, one for decorative art and one for architecture.
Harriet Backer was a member of the jury doing the selection for the modern division and was herself represented with nine paintings, both landscapes and interiors. A painting by Hans Heyerdahl that Harriet Backer owned was also exhibited.
Christie Kielland writes that Portrait of Wilhelmine Ullmann also was exhibited, but it is not included in the catalogue. (Christie Kielland. 1958, s. 288)
