Farm interior from Einabu in Folldal, Eastern Norway. The painting is made with light brushstrokes and bright green and red as the dominating colours. In the middle stands a large cabinet with rows of white plates placed standing in shelves and to its right is an oven. The oven is painted in a bluish tone in a whitewashed niche balancing out the reds and the greens.

Both this painting and Bedroom, Interior from the Farm Einabu in Foldalen were painted while Harriet Backer were visiting her friends Ivar and Karen Mortensson-Engund at their farm Einabu in Folldal. Marit Lange sees a connection between the ease of the brushstrokes and the lightness in the colour with Harriet Backers recent operation for cataracts which for a time made it hard to see details clearly.
